Les exosquelettes peuvent sembler tout droit sortis d’un film de science-fiction, mais leur histoire remonte à plusieurs décennies. Ce qui a commencé comme des projets robotiques expérimentaux dans des laboratoires de recherche s’est transformé en systèmes portables qui soutiennent aujourd’hui les personnes travaillant dans les secteurs de la santé, de la logistique et de l’industrie.

Les douleurs dorsales comptent parmi les problèmes de santé au travail les plus fréquents dans le monde. Que ce soit dans la logistique, la construction, les soins de santé ou l’industrie, les tâches impliquant des flexions répétées, la manutention ou le travail en position inclinée exercent une forte contrainte sur les muscles du dos et la colonne vertébrale. À long terme, ces contraintes peuvent entraîner fatigue, troubles musculosquelettiques et blessures chroniques.

Une découverte captivante : l’équipe R&D d’Auxivo a observé que les utilisateurs expérimentés de nos exosquelettes bénéficiaient d’un soutien musculaire nettement supérieur à celui des personnes qui les portaient pour la première fois. Était-ce simplement lié à un meilleur ajustement ? Ou y avait-il autre chose derrière ?

La performance des exosquelettes est généralement évaluée à l’aide de tâches standardisées, comme la manutention de charges fixes, accompagnées de mesures biomécaniques telles que l’activité musculaire ou la fréquence cardiaque. Ces tests en laboratoire permettent d’estimer la réduction des contraintes grâce à l’équipement.
