Die Leistung von Exoskeletten wird üblicherweise anhand standardisierter Aufgaben bewertet – etwa dem Heben eines festen Gewichts – während dabei biomechanische Daten wie Muskelaktivität oder Herzfrequenz erfasst werden. Solche Laboruntersuchungen sind hilfreich, um zu bestimmen, wie stark ein Exoskelett die körperliche Belastung reduzieren kann.
